Cloud Engineer

Provident is a dynamic financial services company committed to embracing modern technologies. Our current Windows Server-based infrastructure is hosted on AWS, we are looking for an experienced expert in AWS Cloud-based technologies.

You will provide stable and scalable core infrastructure solutions for new business requirements and projects. You will participate and support the standardisation, consolidation, and optimisation of Cloud related IT services on European level (4 markets) aligned with global infrastructure strategy and guidelines defined by Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE).

What you will do:

• Work very closely with Cloud Center of Excellence Team to support Cloud services and taking over operational tasks of it,
• Work with the Developers, Network and DBA specialists and Cloud architects to deliver the IT infrastructure services with agreed goals and roadmap which support the overall infrastructure and cloud strategy,
• Implement security best practices, oversee vulnerability management for AWS environments, ensure compliance with security standards, and drive mitigation strategies for identified risks and vulnerabilities,
• Continuously analyse risk related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring that potential vulnerabilities are addressed, and mitigation strategies are put in place,
• Suggest any technologies or solution ideas in the Cloud Platform Engineer team that could enable business for growth, improve productivity, reduce costs and support business change priorities to Architect team,
• Deliver infrastructure environment to support business needs and new projects,
• Responsible for ITIL processes and Agile methodologies delivery in relevant Infrastructure domain.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent,
• AWS SysOps Administrator Associate or Professional level certificate,
• 3 years of experience in AWS cloud management,
• Good knowledge of cloud security best practices, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation in AWS environments,
  
• Good understanding of IT technology standards (firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, etc.),
• General understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies,
• strong English knowledge (written and spoken),
• result-oriented mindset,
• strong problem solution skills,
