We are looking for a
Senior Business Analyst
to join the team at Provident Financial Ltd.
About the role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring that solutions are aligned with strategic goals and operational needs. In this role, you’ll ensure smooth communication and collaboration across the organization. You provide advisory support and might act as a coach or mentor to more junior Business Analysts.
Your day-to-day activities are likely to include the following:
• Identifying and uncovering business problems and opportunities through collaboration with business stakeholders,
• Translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with IT teams and validating test coverage,
• Facilitating the prioritization of requirements with the Business to support delivery of the solution,
• Creating and maintaining documentation based on business needs,
• Conducting expert analyses on solution alternatives and their impact on the organization,
• Acting on behalf of the business as a proxy product owner where appropriate,
• Collaborating with relevant business and IT stakeholders,
• Working closely with Agile scrum teams, translating business/system requirements into user stories, taking responsibility for maintaining and shaping the development backlog,
• Producing deliverables such as Business Need Document (BND), Business Requirement Document (BRD) and Business Report specifications,
• Developing process models, use cases, and workflow diagrams to represent business processes and system interactions,
• Participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) ‘on behalf of’ the business,
• Supporting Project Managers in providing justification to both cost and benefit estimates relating to business requirements,
• Providing support to PMs and Business Owners in carrying out impact assessment of changes (including route cause analysis) relating to original business requirements & pre-agreed scope,
• Organizing and facilitating workshops for the purpose of identify and analyse solution alternatives.
What are we looking for?
• Degree or equivalent level of qualification, preferably in business-related or IT-related discipline, with specialization in business analysis or system analysis,
• ISEB Agile Business Analysis (preferred),
• Min. 3 years working experience as a Business/Systems Analyst, preferably in financial sector,
• Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops involving stakeholders from various functions / markets,
• Experience in leading the analysis of large-scale, complex Business change in a dynamic and changing environment,
•Experience in project management and process optimization,
• Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops involving stakeholders from various functions / markets,
• Delivery experience within highly integrated system environments where development teams utilize the SCRUM development approach,
• Experience of the agile principles and mindset.
